FAQ

We have a Summer Session that begins mid June that is open to EVERYONE so you can meet potential fellow co-op members! Co-op classes officially begin the first Friday after Labor Day, and are held weekly from 10 am to 1 pm, for ages 2 to 18 years. We have amazing teachers that offer a variety of classes, from Bible Class and Music to Art, Math and Apologetics. We even have Interactive Agriculture and I Love the U.S.A. We also have clubs such as, Book club and Lego Club, that meet from 1 pm to 2 pm and 2pm to 3pm. In addition, we have a terrific line up of field trips, park play dates, and a monthly homeschooling gym/swim time at CCCC. See the PROGRAMS tab to learn more!

Read through our Statement of Faith and Policies in the FORMS tab to find out more about what we believe and how we operate. Then when you’re ready, click on the Pre-register Now tab at the top of the website. Our in-person parents’ meeting in August is your last chance to join!

The membership fee is $50 per family and covers everything from participating in co-op classes to clubs and field trips. There is a supply fee of $10/per child. Band, Art and some clubs may require additional charges. There may also be additional ticket costs for some field trips.

DHC is parent-led and parent-taught! So if you have agreed to the Statement of Faith and have a class you’d love to teach, contact one of our board members! Since we are parent-led, we don’t want everything resting on only a few shoulders. Therefore, one parent or guardian is required to be on site the entire time their child participates in co-op classes and activities, volunteering in whichever open position they have chosen when they registered.

On the About Us tab you will meet all the board members of DHC and our founder, Melissa Sitz.

Though we are all Christians and we do meet at a church for co-op activities, we are not associated with any specific denomination. Read our Statement of Faith in the FORMS tab to find out more about what we believe.
We are a volunteer based organization and we want everyone to be involved. We understand that not everyone is comfortable teaching a class, but there are several “behind the scenes” jobs that parent volunteers can take on to help fill a void. If everyone helps a little it helps a whole lot!
